To be able to look deeply into someone’s eyes is a great privilege because you are looking into the totality of that person. As they say the eyes are the window of the soul. A single glance can give us clues as to the mood of the moment – happiness, despair, boredom, anger, shyness, fear etc.
But it can be so much more than this. By looking into someone’s eyes an iridologist can help that person to take positive steps to better health and well-being. A detailed examination of the iris of each of your eyes can reveal a wealth of information about you.
Iridology is the examination of the iris of the eye for diagnostic purposes. The signs and markings in the iris are matched to the physical and emotional condition of the patient.
When most people look in a mirror they see the iris as a solid colour but under magnification the thousands of individual fibres are clearly visible. There are also distinct patterns, holes and marks to be seen.
Iridology involves the examination of the iris of the eye with a torch and magnifier, and the interpretation of the signs and markings found therein. From this the therapist can then assess the individual’s health status and potential, identifying possible causes and suitable treatment of dis-ease, and facilitating preventative treatment.
Iris analysis can reveal information about the body’s constitutional strengths and weaknesses, i.e. where in the body there is potentially a lot of resistance to disease and where there is likely to be a lack of resistance
Other signs show the efficiency of body organs and systems, levels of inflammation, the site and depth of toxic accumulations and the likely causes of symptoms and disease.
The patterns in your eyes can also indicate emotional and personality traits.
So the iris reflects what is happening in the body. Many health issues occur because of an organ or body system imbalance. For example headaches may be due to muscular tension, liver dysfunction, or problems with the brain. Iridology could help to identify the root cause of your headaches.
Imbalances can be identified before a person shows any sign of being ill. However the eye cannot predict the form in which the weakness will manifest. Iridology does not name diseases, show where operations have taken place or identify removal of organs.
But Iridology can also act as an extremely useful early warning system. It can alert you to the ‘potential’ you may have for developing certain diseases and conditions. ‘Potential’ doesn’t necessarily mean that you will develop those conditions, but you then have the choice as to whether to take preventative action. Potential problems can be detected through iris analysis and treated with nutritional medicine, or any of the other therapies, long before they take a strong hold. The individual then has a greater chance of avoiding the problem later in life. Iridology can be further used to chart the progress of the healing process.
