Reflexology is a therapeutic method of improving health by stimulating predefined pressure points on the feet and hands. Reflexologists work from maps of predefined pressure points that are located on the hands and feet. These pressure points are reputed to connect directly through the nervous system and affect the bodily organs and glands. The reflexologist manipulates the pressure points according to specific techniques of reflexology therapy. By means of this touching therapy, any part of the body that is the source of pain, illness, or potential debility can be strengthened through the application of pressure at the respective foot or hand location.
I offer various forms of Reflexology practice, including:
- Classic Hand and Foot
- Vertical Reflex Therapy (VRT)
- Nerve Reflexology
- Maternity Reflexology
- Lymphatic drainage Reflexology (RLD)

Your individual treatment will comprise one or more of the above techniques, depending on which I judge to be the most suitable and effective for your personal circumstances.
Reiki is a form of natural healing. The word Reiki means “universal life energy” and when activated and used for the purposes of healing addresses mind, body and spirit. Reiki is widely used throughout the world to promote health and personal development.
Reiki is a safe, natural therapy that promotes healing at all levels by the action of gentle nurturing energy radiating from the Reiki practitioner’s hands. Reiki works by harmonising the mind and emotions and accelerating the healing in the physical body. Through its balancing and strengthening powers Reiki promotes the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Reiki can also increase the intuitive and creative abilities. Chakra balancing is sometimes incorporated into the standard treatment.
Reiki can be used for any illness, on people of any age with absolute safety. It can be combined with other healing practices to accelerate the healing process. A Reiki treatment consists of the practitioner placing their hands on the recipient’s body in a pattern designed to give overall balance. The practitioner simply acts as a channel for this healing energy. During a treatment the recipient remains fully clothed at all times.
Each session may cause a totally different reaction dependent on what the person needs at that particular time. The most common experience is one of deep relaxation.
Reiki is particularly useful for emotional and mental distress or when the patient is particularly frail and only wants a gentle therapeutic treatment.
Reiki can also be performed remotely through distant healing techniques.
Flower remedies work by acting on a vibrational level with the body’s natural energies to promote self-healing. They act on an emotional level, harmonising negative feelings and belief patterns held in the subconscious mind. Physical ailments are a manifestation of dis-ease of the mind and emotions.
I use two groups of flower essences.
Bach Flower Remedies
This is a healing system devised by Dr Edward Bach in the 1930s. The Bach flower remedies are a set of homoeopathically prepared remedies produced from trees and flowers found in the English countryside. There are 38 different remedies each one of which caters for a different negative emotion.
Australian Bush Essences
Using plants from all over Australia, Ian White has developed further the methods devised by Dr Bach. The Australian continent has the oldest and greatest number of flowering plants and metaphysically has a very wise old energy. The Bush essences tap into this power, strength and vitality. There are 68 essences that can be used singly or combined to treat any specific application.
Flower remedies are taken as drops by mouth at regular intervals through the day.
